Since the beginning of the 1748, women had been fighting for their rights.
Olympe De Gouges was the first woman against prejudiceand achieve the gender equality but at that time the majority of people thought it was foolish. As everybody can see, women have never given up to protect what they believe into and that’s an astonishing aim.
Nowadays, there are a lot of campaigns and organizations to grant women’s rights but it is not enough because what girls want is an open-minded world where nobody underestimates no one.
This year, the huge march against Trump’s policy in Washington and all over the country has been a clear evidence. It is known as the “Women’s march” because women of any age have gone out of their houses to protest against Trump and his politics. In Washington there were a lot of people, like half a million and some estimates the worldwide participation at 4.8 million, a very astonishing result.
Everyone had a poster, a pink hat and flags showing pride and strength through blinking eyes. Moreover a lot of celebrities like Alicia Keys, Emma Watson joined the march and it was such an important goal because all the world started to support this event. As a result of the march, “the world” has understood women shouldn’t feel ashamed about themselves and protest just like they did every time they have to.
Reclaiming rights and being in peace with the world is what everyone wants, to live in a respectful way.
